A Big box Home Improvement chain, operating 175+ stores. Stores sizes average more than 100,000

The Client:

A Big box Home Improvement chain, operating 175+ stores. Stores sizes average more than 100,000 square feet and stores stock as many as 40,000 home improvement products.

The Challenge:

Known for their dynamic store layouts, this retailer was looking for a technology solution that would allow their teams to access fixture and merchandise placement data that was locked in AutoCAD files. The goal was to accelerate the planning and deployment of merchandise refresh across all departments by making critical information more accessible to cross-functional teams.

The Solution:

The Oasis Team created a reporting interface capturing data, images and drawings for 175+ stores to track merchandise and fixture data extracted from the companies’ store planning CAD files. To achieve this, Oasis implemented its CADx platform to draw information from integrated information blocks to tag all related category and fixture data. As drawing changes occur, data is dynamically extracted and pushed to the Site-Intel cloud.

The Outcome:

Cross functional teams now have easy access to over 9 million merchandise category and fixture related data points. Data is easily viewed in HTML and exportable to MS-XLS. Improved decision making and faster execution improves the customer experience by giving shoppers access to the most relevant offer.
